AAT Certificate (formerly AAT Foundation)

Course Overview

The AAT is a recognised professional qualification and body for accounting technicians. The qualification provides the respect and value that employers place on the skills and professionalism of AAT members.

Duration 3 - 6 months
Commencement January, July

Entry Requirements

  • Four GCSE including Maths and English
  • GNVQ Intermediate
  • Four years working experience in an accounting environment
  • Candidates with 'A' Level Accounting can start at Intermediate

Course Modules

  • Unit 30 Introductory Accounting 
  • Unit 31 Accounting Work Skills*

* 'Accounting Work Skills' is common to Certificate and Advanced Certificate and need only be  completed once.

Registration and Exams

For June examinations students need to register before 1st March, for December exams - before 30th September.
