ABE Certificate

Course Objectives

The ABE Certificate aims at providing a professional qualification that may be used to prepare directly for a career in business, or to gain advanced entry onto a range of professional qualifications and university degrees in the UK and other countries.

Duration 6 months - 1 year
Commencement September, January, July

Entry Requirements

No formal qualifications are required but applicants must demonstrate competence in the English language by the attainment of one of the following:

  • British Council Intermediate Certificate in English/Upper Advanced Certificate in English 
  • LCCI English for Business (EFB) 1st or 2nd level
  • Pitman/City & Guilds English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)/English for Business Communications
  • RSA (OCR) English language Stage 2 

Or 

  • Confirmation by their college of equivalent standard in the use of English

Registration and Exams

For the Autumn Semester the registration is on the 1st Friday in September, accordingly the exams are held on the 1st Friday in October.

For the Spring Semester the registration is on the 1st Friday in March, the exams are held on the 1st Friday in April.
