Professional Studies in Project Management (ASET award)

Course Objectives

The overall aim of the course is to enable students to improve their knowledge and understanding of business environment and apply this knowledge within their organisations.

The course provides a balanced mix of teaching the project management fundamentals and providing ability in practice through experiential learning (learning by doing). At all stages, students' understanding and development of skills in practice provide the focus for teaching and assessment. The course is available full-time and part-time, so the students can study as much or as little as their work commitments allow. Students who complete the entire modules in Year 1 will be awarded Professional Certificate in Project management and those that complete Year 2 will be awarded Professional Diploma in Project management whereas those completing Year 3 will be awarded Professional Advanced Diploma in Project management.

Entry Requirements

  • Candidates are required to have passed 4 GCSE levels, HND or any professional qualification 
  • Or at least 3 years work experience in project management field

Assessment

Assessment is a combination of written examination and continuous individual and group assessments.
